The meadows will likely be very showy this August due to the late summer and precipitation still occurring at the mountain.

So in 2-3 weeks I'm thinking, look for full bloom. Presently the paint brush are starting to pop and Jacobs ladder, spreading phlox, corn lily blooms later but it's really lovely now and bloom is not its most significant feature. It is poisonous.
The western pasqueflower is ready to pop soon. It's a real favorite with 2 stunning phases.
First the flower fuzzy and white with yellow center, then the Mophead see stage that pulls in equally. Not to be missed, this flower!

We saw a deer with velvet and 5 points I think. It was down the road a ways from sunrise. And a herd of elk from a distance. Chipmunks, Ravens, the fast running White River.

Meanwhile not to be forgotten, the starving children and all people held captive by a ruthless dictator in their own country, Syria. Very sad and I feel helpless to do anything to alleviate their suffering. But I wish daily for help to reach them.

We here, should not take our freedom for granted. In the democratic elections this year election fraud has flourished. No one cares but those for Bernie Sanders. But everyone should absolutely care.

What if we elect someone who were to become ruthless as in Hitler? Would Americans be willing to take the heat for those they elect? They had to in Germany!

I personally would stand for Bernie. But the others, strike me as either a loose cannon or an oligarch machine. I cannot say I would want to be responsible for what these people might bring to this world.
